CUSSING IN CHURCH

CUSSING  IN CHURCH

A crusty old man walks into the  local   Baptist Church and  says to the
secretary, 'I would like to join this damn  church.'

The astonished woman replies, 'I  beg your pardon, sir.  I must have
misunderstood  you.
What did you say?'

 'Listen up, damn it.
I  said I want to join this damn church!'

'I'm very sorry  sir, but that kind of language is not tolerated in this
   church.'

The secretary leaves her desk and goes  into the pastor's study to inform
   him of  her  situation.

The pastor agrees that the  secretary does not have to listen to that foul
language.
They both return to her office and the pastor asks the  old geezer,
'Sir,  what seems to be the problem here?'

'There is no damn problem,' the man says. 'I just won  $200 million bucks
in the
damn lottery and I want to  join this damn church to get rid of some of
this damn  money.'

 'I see,' said the pastor.

'And is this  bitch giving you a hard time?'

Smile to your sorry...Promise myself to enjoy every minute of life

"Suffering is not enough. Life is both dreadful and wonderful...How can I smile when I am filled with so much sorrow? It is natural--you need to smile to your sorrow because you are more than your sorrow."

When we see the truth of life, death, out thoughts become free of emotions.

"Most of us aren't willing to face the reality of impermanence and death. That's because we forget that our lives are transitory,
that we quarrel with each other, as if we are going to live for ever.
But, if we face the fact of death, our quarrels will come to an end.
We will then realize the folly of fighting when we ourselves are doomed to die. Excited by emotions our thought being clouded, we cannot see the truth about life. When we see the truth, however, our thoughts become free of emotions."

Religious Truths

Four great religious truths

During these serious and trying times, people of all faiths should remember these four great religious truths:

1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen people.

2. Jews do not recognize Christ as the Messiah.

3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian world.

4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters or the liquor store.

The Human Body

Subject: The Human Body

It takes your food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.

One human hair can support 3kg (6.6 lb).

The average man's private area is three times the length of his thumb.

Human thighbones are stronger than concrete.

A woman's heart beats faster than a man's.

There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.

Women blink twice as often as men.

The average person's skin weighs twice as much as the brain.

Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.

If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

Women
reading this will be finished now.

Men
are still busy checking their thumbs.

Every day everything is a miracle!!!

"People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle."

I will make you fruitful...

Make Room

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year's harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new"
(Leviticus 26:9–10, NIV)

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

God wants to bless you and multiply you. He wants to increase you above and beyond what you could ever ask, think or imagine. But sometimes, we fill our lives with so much that we simply don't have room to receive all that God wants to give us. People fill their lives with good things, noteworthy obligations and impressive accomplishments. But "good" can be the enemy of "best." We have to take the time to evaluate what we have in our hands and be willing to move some things out in order to make room for the new thing God has for us.
Today, take some time to evaluate your life. Be open to what God wants to do in and through you. If your hands are full, maybe it's time to use what you have to bless other people. Don't let holding on to yesterday keep you from God's best. Instead, make room because He has abundant blessings in store for you.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, today I open my hands and my heart to You. I choose to release anything spiritually, physically or emotionally that would keep me from Your best. Search my heart, God, and show me where I need to make adjustments to make room for You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Everything springs only from our self

"When you think everything is someone else´s fault, you will suffer a lot. When you realize that everything springs only from yourself, you will learn both peace and joy. Pride leads to violence and evil. The truly good gaze upon everything with love and understanding."

Happiness comes from within

A smile can bring happiness to anyone even if they don't know you.

1. There are at least two people in this world

that you would die for...

2.. At least 15 people in this world

love you in some way.

3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you

is because they want to

be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,

even if they don't

like you.

5. Every night,

SOMEONE thinks about you

before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. You are special and unique.

8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever,

something good comes from it.

10. When you think the world

has turned its back on you

take another look.

11. Always remember the compliments you received..

Forget about the rude remarks.

So...........

If you are a loving friend,

send this to everyone,

including the one that sent it to you.

If you get it back, then they really do love you.

Good friends are like stars.........

You don't always see them,

But you know they are always there..

"Whenever God Closes One Door He Always Opens Another, Even Though

Sometimes we don't understand what the new door means

I would rather have one rose and a kind word

from a friend while I'm here

than a whole truck load when I'm gone.

Happiness keeps You Sweet,

Trials keep You Strong,

Sorrows keep You Human,

Failures keeps You Humble,

Success keeps You Glowing,

But Only

God keeps You Going

Arise, shine, for your light has come

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you"

(Isaiah 60:1, NIV).

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Today, God wants to exceed your expectations! He has amazing things stored up for you. He wants to take you places that you've never dreamed and do things in your life that you've never imagined. His glory is rising upon His people. Things are going to fall into place so that you can accomplish what God has placed in your heart. Even the hidden dreams that you've given up on, God has not given up on. He is going to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all you could ask, think or imagine! Now is the time to arise and shine in Him!

Your mind may try to talk you out of it, but if you'll listen with your heart, it will resonate on the inside of you. Don't let discouragement hold you back or keep you down. Rise up every morning and declare, "Today is the day that the Lord has made." Choose to rejoice in Him. Choose to expect His goodness. Choose to arise and shine and receive every spiritual blessing He has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. Thank You for choosing me and for preparing a bright future for me. I will arise and shine. Let everything I do bring honor to You. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

- Joel & Victoria Osteen

1909 Ford Model R: Look how far we have come...

This was not that long ago.

This was the "American scene" when my grandparents were children.  Think about these conditions, whenever you're ready to complain about life!!

1909 Ford Model R

cid:X.MA1.1277987035@aol.com

THE YEAR IS 1909

This will boggle your mind, I know it did mine!

************ ********* ***********

The year is 1909.
One hundred years ago.

What a difference a century makes!

Here are some statistics for the Year 1909:

************ ********* ************

The average life expectancy for men was 47 years.

Fuel for this car was sold in drug stores only.

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub(ewww)

Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.

There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles of paved roads.

The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.

The tallest structure in the world was theEiffelTower!

The average US wage in 1909 was 22 cents per hour.

The averageU Sworker made between $200 and $400 per year ..

A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year,
A dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year,

and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.

More than 95 percent of all births took place at HOME .

Ninety percent of allDoctorshadNO COLLEGE EDUCATION!

Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which

Were condemned in the press AND the government as 'substandard.'

Sugar cost four cents a pound.

Eggs were fourteen cent s a dozen.

Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.

Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo(again ewwww).

Canadapassed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason.

The Five leading causes of death were:

1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis

3.. Diarrhea

4. Heart disease

5. Stroke

The American flag had 45 stars ....

The population ofLas Vegas,Nevada, was only 30!

Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and iced teahadn't been invented yet.

There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.

Two out of every 10 adults couldn't read or write and

Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school..

Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores.

Back then pharmacists said, 'Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind,

regulatesthe stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health'(seriously?)

Eighteen percent of households had at leastone full-time servant or domestic help ....

There were about 230reportedmurders in theENTIREU.S..A. !

Plus one more sad thought .... 95 percent of the taxes we have now did not exist in 1909.

.

I am now going to forward this to someone else without typing it myself.
From there, it will be sent to others all over the WORLD - all in a matter of seconds!

Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years.

IT STAGGERS THE MIND
